J&K Grameen celebrates International Women’s Day
J&K Grameen Bank celebrated International Women’s Day at its Head Office Narwal Jammu on Saturday 7th March 2020. The Bank has facilitated its women staff by awarding / appreciating the desirous women. Bank values the women's economic empowerment and the ability to enjoy their right to control and benefit from the resources, assets, income.
On this auspicious occasion, Chairman Mr.Janak Raj Angural has greeted all its women staff and customers and has said that “Women today have got equal potential provided they are been trusted and valued. Today’s women realize their strengths and abilities and step out in order to contribute to the society and the world consequently.” He has further stated that : Every woman is special whether she is working at home or office or doing both;; she plays an important role in upbringing of children and managing their home efficiently. Those societies flourish well where women are given equal respect and are not taken for granted. Most of the conventional people still feel that women should be confined to household chores and should not step out for work, etc as that’s not their area of work; which shouldn’t be practiced in today’s society.
Mr.Davinder K.Bali, General Manager and Mr.Devi Dayal Gupta, Chief of I&V of the Bank have wished all their women customers and staff on the occasion of Women’s Day and thanked the women clientele for being associated with the bank and also assured that Bank shall always continue to empower the women in all fields. Bank shall reach to Solomon heights with the support of its women customers.
On this significant day, J&K Grameen Bank has provided various incentives to its women clientele for the period 07.03.2020 to 13.03.2020 like : Concession in Loan Interest Rates (For Car Loan / Purchase of Two wheeler / Personal Consumption Loan / Consumption Loan to Pensioners) ; Additional interest to be provided for all the Recurring Deposit opened by women ; No rental to be charged for the first three months (starting from April 2020) on POS Devices procured by the women merchants/ customers.
